📅 10, 11 & 12 September 2024

📍 Le Kursaal - Dunkerque Convention Centre

The Assises are 3 days of meetings, exchanges, sharing, inspiration and collective success in the energy transition of our regions!

🌍 Created in 1999 by the Urban Community of Dunkerque and ADEME, then co-organised by Bordeaux Métropole since 2015, the European Energy Transition Conferences are the annual meeting of European players involved in regional energy transition.

The great witness of this 25th edition:

François Gemenne, political scientist and co-author of the 6th IPCC report, is honoured to be the keynote speaker at 25e European Energy Transition Conference!

"Today, transition is often seen as a constraint, implying additional costs, efforts to be made and sacrifices to be made. For others, on the other hand, it seems like an impossible dream that has never happened before in history. It's up to us to show in concrete terms that the transition is underway, and that it can be the driving force behind a formidable economic project and a new social contract.

ON THE PROGRAM :

  • Plenary sessions led by experts and key witnesses to discuss the key issues in today's energy transition.
  • A wide-ranging programme of workshops, devised in collaboration with local players involved in the energy transition, to make the conference a real laboratory of ideas and a concentration of experience and practical solutions.
  • Themed tours to discover the sustainable energy initiatives implemented by the host region.
  • A space dedicated to innovation in mobility, housing, waste recovery and new energies: the energy transition village!
  • And this year, alongside the AETEs, the following events will take place the European Conference on Decarbonisation, Industry and Territories.
