inter-CLUB BIOENERGY / HYDROGEN

Valorisation of different types of biomass for the production of renewable synthesis gases and other low-carbon molecules

📅 Tuesday 13 January 2026  I 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

📍 Technopôle de l'Arbois Forum, projection room

Nota Bene : the reception and lunch cocktail will be held in the lobby of the Poincaré building

Once upon a time...

Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, synthesis gases or «syngases» have been a subject of research and development for the energy sector. The reason? This mixture, consisting mainly of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, has been used in industry and even in our homes, under the name «town gas».

Back to the future

Today, various renewable biomass conversion processes produce low-carbon hydrogen mixed with other gases. These processes represent a complementary means of producing low-carbon hydrogen, and innovations are currently being developed in this area.

A future to imagine together

The Jupiter 1000 platform, pioneer in technologies «Power to Gaz» in France is now entering a new phase. The recent dedicated Call for Expressions of Interest revealed a marked interest in continuing the development of this platform, with 40 proposed projects. He also highlighted the potential synergies and cross-cutting issues between the low-carbon hydrogen and bioenergy sectors.

In line with this approach, we invite you to interact with several respondents to this AMI who will present their projects to the Capenergies community with a view to sharing and seeking potential synergies between stakeholders.

We will also be hearing from M2P2 Laboratory for Mechanics, Modelling and Clean Processes, located in Arbois, which has long developed recognised expertise in thermochemical biomass processing and is home to the industrial chair. Tiger.

The meeting will begin with a cocktail lunch, followed by the plenary session. It will conclude with a tour of the M2P2 technology park premises.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

- Discuss with experts and share your ideas and thoughts on the use of biomass for the production of hydrogen and its derivatives.;
- Identify new opportunities for your projects and collaborations in the sector; ;
- Discover the activities and facilities of the M2P2 process engineering team.
