DEVELOPING HYDROGEN MOBILITY IN THE NICE – FRENCH RIVIERA METROPOLITAN AREA
A consortium of industrial companies in the Nice – French Riviera region is supporting the Hy’ssa Nissa project to build:
- A renewable hydrogen production unit using water electrolysis
- A hydrogen charging station at the Ligne d’Azur bus depot in Drap, which will supply a fleet of 40 hydrogen-powered buses. This regional project comes under the 2019-2025 climate plan for French Riviera metropolis. It will help decarbonise the heavy-haul vehicles in the region’s public transport system by reducing greenhouse gas levels and kick-starting the development of a hydrogen-based ecosystem thanks to the backing of this proactive consortium.
