SMART SENSORS FOR MEASURING THE CONTENT OF HYDROGEN INJECTED INTO NATURAL GAS NETWORKS

The simultaneous injection of hydrogen and methane into natural gas networks can vary the composition of gas supplied to industry users, which can cause operational issues with industrial machines such as burners, turbines and gas engines.

The objective of the CIGaNHy research project is to optimise hydrogen injection processes used in natural gas networks by providing cheap micro-sensors that allow users to adapt their own operations according to the gas composition levels.
