GREEN SUSTAINABLE ELECTRIFICATION OF AN ISOLATED VILLAGE IN COLOMBIA
The aim of the FASEP Colombia project is to build a commercial-scale demonstrator of the hydraulic battery concept developed by STEPSOL in order to provide an isolated village in Colombia with more electricity than the actual 4 hours per day that it has through diesel generators. It is based on the pumping energy transfer station (PETS) solution but on a smaller scale (<1 MW) remotely located from a waterway and coupled to a PV solar facility. This project will showcase STEPSOL’s technology, which is key to the company’s development on the international market of micro-grids, especially in South America.
