MULTI ELEMENT DEMAND OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Reducing the overall energy consumption of the industrial sector – about 30% of the global energy bill – provides major leverage in terms of competitiveness and the fight against global warming. The MEDEE project sets out to develop new algorithms for non-intrusive appliance load monitoring (NIALM) systems to more precisely analyse the power consumption of industrial equipment, thereby:
→ Optimising consumption to reflect the system’s intrinsic level according to its use (production cycle, intrinsic breakdown strength depending on the use)
→ Identifying potential means to optimise energy performance by exploiting energy data corrected with production data
→ Implementing scenarios to predict consumption trends.
