REGEN PULSE

REGENERATING NiMH AND Li-ION BATTERIES BY CONTROLLED ELECTRIC IMPULSES

The REGEN PULSE project intends to develop the diagnostic and regeneration techniques for nickel and metal hydride (NiMH) batteries mainly used in hybrid vehicles, as well as providing proof-of-concept (fuel cell scale) for the regeneration of lithium-ion batteries equipping electric vehicles.

Be Energy has the ambition to reduce the environmental impact of batteries by enhancing their life span, thus delaying their transfer to the recycling sector which is less environmentally friendly. This project is promoting the development of a new circular economy where independent garages – unable to offer maintenance services for hybrid and electric vehicles until now – can benefit from this new market providing an alternative to selling new batteries.
