PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER AND WINE GROWING

The increasingly stronger sunlight due to climate change will impact the quality and yield of crops if no changes are made to the way in which we currently grow produce. In this context, this project intends to demonstrate the positive effects of new PV technologies on field-grown grapevines.

The purpose of this project is to set up a 2.54 Mw-peak agrivoltaic system. The solar power produced will be fed into the grid and the PV panels will be equipped with a 3D bifacial tracker technology to optimise shading to protect the vines while maximising solar power production.
