NEW GENERATION HYDROGEN SHIP

FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE DESIGN OF AN ON-BOARD H2 PROPULSION VESSEL IN THE FORM OF A HYDROSIL

The aim of the project is to study the technical and economic feasibility of an electro-hydrogen-powered passenger transport vessel using on-board hydrogen in the form of a non-organic liquid: HydroSil.
The project has 2 components:
- A comparative study of different energy vectors for zero-emission propulsion of a 100-seat NepTech shuttle: electric batteries, H2 gas, liquefied H2 and HydroSil, a solution developed by HySiLabs;
- A step to validate the performance of the HySiLabs hydrogen release reactor in a marine environment.
