The INVECE project

INVECE project (Green Innovation and Energy Communities)

objectives

The project INVECE is based on the collaboration of the players in the quintuple helix (State, Industry, Academia, Citizens...) to promote the energy transition. It is fully in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal and the United Nations' Agenda 2030.

Over a 24-month period, INVECE will implement the following actions:

  • Creation of a Cross-Border Observatory of Energy Communities, with a strategy and action plan for the period 2024-2030.
  • Support for at least 10 energy communities in the regions of Sardinia, Tuscany, Liguria, Corsica and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, to model a “cross-border energy transition trajectory”.
  • Raising awareness of virtuous entrepreneurship through mutual learning.

Energy Communities offer an innovative and sustainable model for the local production, management and sharing of renewable energy. They help to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, combat climate change and strengthen active citizenship, by aligning policies with the specific needs of territories and their inhabitants.

INVECE INVECE sees collaboration as a lever for creating energy communities capable of delivering tangible benefits to territories, particularly in the five regions in the cooperation area: Sardinia, Tuscany, Liguria, Corsica and the SUD Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region. Sardinia, Tuscany, Liguria, Corsica and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur SUD region.

Project duration: 2 years (2024-2026)

Budget: 2M €
