Through the process of labelling innovation and industrialisation projects, Capenergies supports companies, research and training centres, from the emergence of their R&D projects through to obtaining financing and industrialisation.. The projects, which are initially supported by a cluster engineer, are then assessed by a high-level independent committee made up of experts from the worlds of industry, research, training and finance. In addition to awarding the label, the committee provides project leaders with constructive advice based on the relevance of their different perspectives and experience, in addition to the support provided by the team.

The clusters label is a national label which recognises the quality of innovation projects:
The French government recently noted that projects awarded the label have a success rate up to 2 times higher than national calls for projects.

Since its creation in 2005, almost 860* innovative projects have been accredited and 500* projects have received public funding totalling almost €600m* (out of a total budget of €3082m*).
