The CONSORNET project aims to describe the mechanism of inter-species cell twinning in a model microbial consortium for the production of hydrogen in a bioreactor.
The aim is to understand the genetic and metabolic basis of this coupling, and to build predictive models to optimise this system for industrial applications.
