PRODUCTION OF E-SAF AT FOS-SUR-MER
The aim of this project is to build an e-SAF ("Sustainable Aviation Fuel") production plant at Fos-sur-Mer, fuelled by low-carbon hydrogen and biogenic CO₂.
The project is part of a drive to build a sustainable aviation fuel industry in France, enabling greenhouse gas emissions to be reduced by up to 70% compared with fossil paraffin. The project is designed to meet European requirements for the aviation sector to incorporate sustainable fuels from 2030.
