CHIMITER

BEHAVIOUR OF HYDROGEN AT ITER METAL INTERFACES

The constraints on the materials used in the inner walls of the future ITER experimental nuclear fusion reactor are essential to the success of this project.
The aim of the CHIMITER project is to continue studying the effect of the reagent tritium, one of the isotopes of hydrogen, on the power extraction components of the first tungsten/copper wall in order to characterise possible degradation, including with regard to safety issues.
