Small nuclear reactors: what for? 🤔

Capenergies was present at the WNE exhibition, where the prizes for the major competition to promote the attractiveness of the nuclear industry were awarded.

Agnès Pannier-Runacher, the French Minister for Energy Transition, has announced the six new winners of the "Innovative Nuclear Reactors" call for projects!

Among them, 3 members of Capenergies:

To coincide with the WNE international civil nuclear show, the CEA organised a live broadcast on the subject of small nuclear reactors (SMR and AMR).

🎯 Adapting, even reinventing ourselves.

These are the key words for the nuclear industry in meeting the challenges posed by the urgent need to protect the climate and our sovereignty. How can we do this? By organising the supply of energy differently, as close as possible to customers and for uses that go far beyond electricity generation alone.

How could these compact, low-power reactors find their place in the energy mix, alongside power reactors and renewable energies? For what uses?
