Hydrogen industry in the SOUTH of France: 5 innovative companies join forces with the Capenergies competitiveness cluster to set up a joint stand at the Hyvolution exhibition

21 October 2021 - CMR GROUP, ELYSE ENERGY, ONIS LINE BLIND, PLENESYS and PROVIRIDIS, together with the Capenergies competitiveness cluster and under the banner of Club H2 Sud, will have a joint stand at the HYVOLUTION trade fair on 27 and 28 October, where they will be presenting their innovative solutions covering the entire hydrogen value chain:

  • Plasma H2 production (Pyrolysis of (bio)methane)
  • Piping equipment
  • Specific gas sensors
  • Multi-energy distribution stations
  • Project development - e-fuel

Meet us on Thursday 28 October at 9.30 a.m. at Workshop 2 of the HyVolution show:

Capenergies will present the ecosystem of players and major hydrogen projects in the Southern Region

From R&D to deployment across the country, the Club H2 Sud is a dynamic ecosystem that brings together 115 actors (major groups, SMEs, start-ups, local authorities, research and training centres). Led by the Capenergies competitiveness cluster, in association with the Sud-Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region and the region's major cities, it aims to encouraging cooperation to boost growth in the sector.

Over the last 5 years, nearly 45 projects that have emerged in the Sud-Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region, from upstream research to more structuring projects. More than 20 advanced projects have already obtained funding, representing a total of €30m in aid and an investment of more than €150m.

Other H2 Sud Club members also present on Hyvolution:

The high-potential company ENOGIA which has just successfully completed its initial public offering (to be found on stand H21 adjacent to that of Capenergies),

As well as Air Flow, Alcrys Fluid-control, Helion Hydrogen Power, HySiLabs and other major groups based in the South of France.

ASSETS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HYDROGEN SECTOR IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE :

  • The Fos-Marseille industrial basin is already a major consumer of hydrogen (oil refining, petrochemicals), with huge potential for future consumption due to the presence of the steel industry and an industrial port area generating intense flows of heavy road, rail, river and air transport,
  • The Mediterranean coastline has already given rise to a number of projects to develop hydrogen-powered ships for passenger and freight transport,
  • An area at the crossroads of European freight and energy transport networks Future European Hydrogen network linking the major Mediterranean port of Fos Marseille to the petrochemical zone of Lyon and as far north as Northern Europe, as well as massive H2 production in Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal),
  • An ecosystem of suppliers of industrial components for gas and petroleum products with a long history in the region, ready to put their expertise at the service of the emerging hydrogen sector,
  • Exceptional sunshine, ideal for deploying photovoltaic solar energy to produce hydrogen,
  • And finally, strong support from the SUD Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region for this high-potential sector, in favour of structuring projects and the development of a structured value chain in the region.

The Innovative Energy Community

The mission of the Capenergies cluster is to facilitate the emergence of innovative projects and to support their development in order to accelerate the Energy Transition. It is active in the low-carbon energy sectors in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Corsica, Guadeloupe, Reunion Island and the Principality of Monaco.
It focuses on 3 strategic areas: decarbonising energy use and improving energy efficiency, optimising and securing energy systems, and producing decarbonised energy.
It federates a network of 530 members specialising in energy, including major industrial groups, start-ups, companies, research and teaching bodies and financiers, with strong interaction with the regions. Since its creation, nearly 740 innovative projects have been approved by CAPENERGIES and 430 projects have obtained public funding, representing a mobilised budget of more than €1.7 billion.
Capenergies leads the Club H2 Sud and is a partner in the European H2 Global project, which aims to facilitate the export of French companies to the international hydrogen market. Capenergies sits on the board of France Hydrogène and, as regional delegate, its director leads the Sud regional delegation of France Hydrogène.
