The centre also houses a group of researchers with expertise in these two associated disciplines: modelling, and mathematics for optimisation control and decision-making, with a particular emphasis on climate change issues. CMA has operations at two Mines ParisTech sites (Sophia-Antipolis and Paris). Notably, CMA develops optimisation models for long-term forecasting, provides expertise on optimal energy system management, works on the electricity and carbon markets, has founded a ParisTech Chair on forecast modelling for sustainable development, and has developed a range of global partnerships with industry.
