REGEN PULSE

REGENERATION OF NiMH AND Li-ION BATTERIES BY APPLYING CONTROLLED ELECTRIC PULS

The aim of the REGEN PULSE project is to enable the diagnosis and regeneration of nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries, mainly used in hybrid cars, and to establish a proof of concept for cell-scale regeneration of lithium-ion technology used in electric vehicles.

Be Energy's ambition with this project is to reduce the environmental impact of batteries by increasing their lifespan, thereby postponing their introduction into the material recycling chain, which is less virtuous for the environment. This project will encourage the development of a new circular economy activity, enabling independent garages, which have until now been excluded from servicing hybrid and electric vehicles, to participate in this new alternative market to the sale of new batteries.
