COOL AMMETROPOLIS

TOWARDS MITIGATING CO2 EMISSIONS AND THE URBAN HEAT ISLAND IN THE AIX-MARSEILLE-PROVENCE METROPOLITAN AREA

The aim of this project is to propose scenarios for reducing atmospheric CO2 emissions and the urban heat island (UHI) in the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis, by combining an atmospheric and societal approach that will establish strong links between the world of research, political decision-makers and civil society.
It aims to help consolidate the Climate Plan of the SUD Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region and the PCEAT (Plan Climat Air Energie Territoire) of the Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence, as well as the Métropole's strategies for adapting to global warming.
