🌍 WHY THIS APPEAL?
The transport sector is the largest emitter of greenhouse gases in France, accounting for 34 % of national CO2 !
➡️ And the road transport is responsible for 94 %, particularly in urban areas with last-mile logistics.
Against a backdrop of climate crisis and pressure on urban air quality, there is an urgent need to speed up the transition to cleaner mobility. This means adopting electric vehicles, reducing logistics-related emissions, and supporting local players involved in sustainable food production and short supply chains.
THE GARDEN PROJECT :
A CONCRETE BOOST TO YOUR TRANSITION!
As part of the European GARDEN project (Greener AgRo-fooD logistics in the in the mEditerraneaN area), Capenergies launches a Call for Expressions of Interest to select a pilot structure in Marseille, ready to test carbon-free food delivery solutions.
GARDEN is a European project funded by the Interreg Euro-MED 2021-2027 programme, which brings together 7 Mediterranean countries (France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro and Bulgaria) around a common objective:
Sustainably transforming agri-food ecosystems!
TAKING PART IN THE "GARDEN" PROJECT MEANS :
- Access 80 % of financing for a concrete transition project
- Help decarbonise urban food logistics
- Promote your organisation as part of a major European project
- Join a Mediterranean network of innovators committed to sustainable food
🎯 The aim is to test Marseille's own food logistics under real conditions.
✅ WHO CAN APPLY?
You are
- A company, cooperative, association...
- Located in or near Marseille
- In possession of (or able to acquire) a retrofit-compatible internal combustion commercial vehicle (ideally diesel)
- Active in the agri-food sector, with a local delivery activity (short circuits, urban logistics, etc.).
- Able to install an on-site charging point or use a site that is already equipped with one
Particular attention will be paid to structures involved in a social approach (integration, local employment, accessibility, etc.).
