The H2MOVE project:

Mapping the hydrogen ecosystem for sustainable port mobility

The project H2MOVE is tackling the challenge of resilient accessibility in the Mediterranean, by supporting the energy transition of ports and their surrounding areas. The aim is to contribute to climate neutrality while strengthening territorial continuity in a sustainable way.

To achieve this, a number of strategic actions are being taken:

  • The development of a macro-strategy for the development of hydrogen in ports ;
  • The synergy between national initiatives, such as the Italian National Reform Programme (NRP) and France 2030 ;
  • The creation of a common governance tool including a master plan and a membership manifesto;
  • The involvement of players in research and innovationto provide scientific support for the project and explore future technological prospects.

As part of the H2MOVE project, Capenergies has segmented and mapped the hydrogen ecosystem in the cooperation area and neighbouring regions.

The aim of this activity is to identify and map the hydrogen ecosystem in the cooperation area and neighbouring regions, by analysing both supply and demand. The approach covers production sites (according to their technologies and energy sources), companies already or potentially involved in the value chain, consumer and public players, as well as projects and infrastructures under development (hydrogen valleys, transport, distribution, stations, pipelines, etc.).
