On 22 October last, the Agence d'Aménagement durable, d'Urbanisme et d'Énergie (AUE) of the Corsican Territorial Collectivity organised 3 programmes, broadcast live on the web, dedicated to energy issues on the islands.
During these meetings, the guests debated the following question: " Why have island territories set themselves the goal of energy autonomy, and how are they putting themselves in a position to change the way they produce and consume energy in order to combat climate change? "
Capenergies, which has included the specific energy needs of island regions in its strategic areas of activity since its creation, took part in the discussions alongside a panel of high-level guests, including :
- The presidents of the executive councils (or their representatives) of the Corsica, Martinique, Réunion and Guadeloupe regions
- The Directorate-General for Energy and Climate (DGEC), the Energy Regulation Commission (CRE)
- The directors of ADEME, SER and EDF SEI
Three fascinating conferences presenting a panorama of initiatives on islands in other countries. An opportunity to update your knowledge of the specific features and opportunities in these territories.
