Renewable Energy Communities: call for expressions of interest launched for free advisory services

The INVECE project's initiatives to help RECs in the southern region are continuing.

Applications are open from 25 February at 13:00. and until 25 March 2025 at 6.00 pm

The initiatives of the INVECE (Green Innovation and Energy Communities) project continue to support actions in favour of sustainable development. energy transition and aim to accelerate the path towards decarbonisation and climate neutrality. Following the great success of the presentation of the Cross-border Observatory of Energy Communities, held in Florence on 23 January, the project is entering a new phase, with the launch of a call for expressions of interest for the selection of Energy Communities Renewables who will have access to free advisory services in a variety of areas.

Renewable Energy Communities enable groups of citizens, public authorities, companies, associations and various private and public players to coming together to produce and share local energy from renewable sourceswith the aim of providing economic, social and environmental benefits. to each participant in the community. It's a way of respond to the energy challenge posed by the European Union and produce and consume 'clean' energy autonomously: in effet, more and more energy communities in the Southern Region, or those in the process of being formed, are following a path towards decarbonisation and climate neutrality.

The energy communities of the Southern Region are being offered the opportunity, as part of the of the Interreg Italy-France Maritime 2021-2027 programme cofinanced by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), to participate in a selection which will enable each of them to obtain a guidance, support and assistance plan, with free advice services in the legal and judicial, social and communication, technical, economic and financial, licensing and landscaping, management and monitoring fields.

The project is being carried out in Southern Region by two organisations: Capenergies and the Italian Chamber of Commerce for France in Marseille. The first is a competitiveness cluster which brings together a dynamic network of over 520 members - major industrial groups, companies (the majority of which are SMEs and start-ups), research and training centres, local authorities and finance providers - specialising in the energy sector in the broadest sense. The second is a key player in the service of businesses and economic relations between France and Italy. It offers tailor-made services, unique visibility opportunities, and acts as a facilitator for the creation of synergies between economic and institutional players in the two countries.
