Geothermal cogeneration plant at Wissembourg: a technological showcase for the French sector

The COGEWI project (Cogeneration - Geothermal Energy - Wissembourg) is an industrial R&D programme based on a project to build a geothermal cogeneration plant in Wissembourg (northern Alsace). COGEWI aims to develop new tools, services and technologies for exploring the subsoil, connecting to the reservoir and exploiting the resource. Its ambition is to enable the French industry to develop innovative know-how that will encourage the development of deep geothermal energy projects in France and win export markets.
