DIVERSIFYING AND STRENGTHENING SYNERGIES BETWEEN CROP PROTECTION AND LOW-CARBON ENERGY PRODUCTION

The relevance of using controlled photovoltaic shading to protect and improve the yield of vine crops, while producing electricity, has been demonstrated: better water management, reduced heat and light stress, prevention of late frost, maintenance of sugar levels, control of harvest dates.

The Diversi'nergie project, led by Agriteos, a subsidiary of Société du Canal de Provence and Ombrea, aims to extend this technical and economic demonstration to other crops and regions, thereby helping to structure the emerging agrivoltaic sector.
