FASEP COLOMBIA

GREEN, SUSTAINABLE ELECTRIFICATION OF AN ISOLATED VILLAGE IN COLOMBIA

The aim of the FASEP Colombia project is to create a commercial demonstrator of the hydraulic battery concept developed by STEPSOL, for the electrification of an isolated village in Colombia that currently receives only 4 hours a day of electricity from diesel generators. The solution developed is based on the principle of pumped-storage energy transfer stations (STEP), with reduced dimensions (<1MW) and coupled to a photovoltaic (PV) plant. Completion of this project will provide STEPSOL with an essential commercial showcase for the company's development in the international microgrid market, particularly in South America.
