A NEW GENERATION OF TOOLS FOR FORECASTING ENERGY DEMAND AND RENEWABLE PRODUCTION ON A FINE SPATIAL AND TEMPORAL SCALE
Accurately anticipating both the production and consumption of renewable energies are two major challenges for the competitiveness of renewable energies in the energy mix.
Through the development of new weather and energy forecasting models that also take account of local uses and flexibility opportunities, the FINE4CAST project aims to improve very short-term forecasting of renewable energy production and consumption on a fine geographical and temporal scale. These new models can be used in decision-making processes in power systems and energy markets.
