CHARACTERISATION OF ANTHROPOGENIC SOURCES OF METHANE AND POTENTIAL HYDROGEN LEAKS IN THE SUD-PACA REGION
Methane is the second anthropogenic greenhouse gas, and its emissions must be reduced by 30% by 2030, according to the agreement reached at COP26. In this context, the METHY-GREEN doctoral project has several objectives:
→ Reduce the uncertainties surrounding the measurement of methane emissions in the heavily industrialised south-west of the region,
→ Improve the existing AtmoSud inventory,
→ Assessing the leakage of methane and potentially hydrogen injected into gas infrastructures in the future,
→ Carry out a study of the environmental impact of these leaks.
