CHARACTERISATION OF ANTHROPOGENIC SOURCES OF METHANE AND POTENTIAL HYDROGEN LEAKS IN THE SUD-PACA REGION

Profound changes need to be made to energy systems in order to achieve carbon neutrality in Europe by 2050, and also to avoid new risks linked to the security of energy supply at reasonable prices. Sectoral coupling, which makes it possible to plan and operate different energy vectors in a coordinated way, is a major challenge if we are to meet new flexibility needs reliably and cost-effectively, and facilitate the integration of variable renewable production, contributing to the decarbonisation of the energy system and the electrification of uses. The PlaneTerr project aims to develop an open-access, modular modelling and planning tool for multi-energy systems (all energy carriers), combining operation and investment.
