SHIELDS

New process for using oxygen-sensitive biocatalysts under aerobic conditions

The SHIELDS project aims to develop polymer films to support and protect biocatalysts (oxidation or reduction catalysis), using enzymes such as oxygen-sensitive hydrogenases and CO dehydrogenases as models. The process involves encapsulating the enzymes in polymer films, which constitute active matrices, attached to the electrode.
