Development of a tool for modelling, sizing and controlling the power of a solar micro-STEP connected to the grid
This R&D project involves the design and development in Corsica of solar micro-STEPs* (<1MW) outside any watercourse, which can be replicated and marketed within acceptable dimensions for the environment and land, using local "trade" skills. The STEPSol R&D project therefore focuses on developing software for sizing and controlling the power of the micro-STEP*. The aim of this R&D phase is twofold: to develop a system that will enable the development of photovoltaic energy in Corsica to continue by making up for its intermittent nature, and to work towards the economic optimisation of these systems.
