REPLAY - Open Innovation Smart City Day with Enedis & local authorities in the Southern Region, 12 February 2021

Following on from the Smart City & Territory Innovation Day "Data-Energie-Eau", the Capenergies and SCS clusters organised a new open innovation event for local authorities and businesses on 12 February, focusing on the energy datasets in the ENEDIS Open Data platform.

Bringing together nearly 130 participantsThe aim of this webinar was to highlight the needs of local and regional authorities and identify solutions to meet them, in order to support their transformation towards the Smart City and Smart Territory.

After a presentation of the datasets, several examples of applications were presented by ENEDIS:

  • Dataviz: an assessment of my territory for the town of Gardanne
  • Case study: thermo-sensitivity
  • Reuse of data by DREAL Pays de Loire (renewable energy)

Drawing on contributions from the Nice Côte d'Azur and Aix-Marseille metropolises, a round-table discussion identified the major regional needs to which solution providers could contribute through the use of DATA :

  • For the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan AreaOpen data is a reservoir of data that is needed to boost and optimise regional management. The priorities identified for 2021 are the development of photovoltaic clusters and the renovation of buildings.
  • For Aix-Marseille MétropoleThe primary objective identified is to limit the carbon footprint, including that of the digital sector in the region. To this end, the city is looking for indicators to monitor and better control energy consumption, particularly with regard to the impact of teleworking in the current health context.

The national and European funding windows as part of the stimulus plans to support local authorities' digital and ecological transitions, were then presented.

Participants praised the quality of the information Some twenty of them have already come up with ideas for projects based on the datasets presented.
