The Institut National de l'Energie Solaire (INES) has announced the 1st results of a "large-scale" electric mobility experiment being carried out at the CEA in Cadarache in partnership with RTE.
The project involves 24 recharging points testing a system for controlling the recharging of electric vehicles that incorporates locally-generated solar energy.
"The results show that, over a period of several months of experimentation, it is possible to increase the proportion of solar energy used by the 34 to 90 % charging points by controlling vehicle charging, while respecting user preferences.
