A platform of services to boost the energy renovation of private homes
Announced by the European Commission on 23 November, the CONCERTO RENOV project, which brings together 5 French players specialising in energy renovation, has been selected as part of the LIFE programme. CONCERTO RENOV aims to make the process easier for private individuals by bringing together all the players in the energy renovation value chain in a common platform, a truly integrated solution covering everything from diagnosing the home to monitoring energy savings after the work has been completed.
As a concrete action to help the climate, energy-efficient home renovation is a major source of savings for individuals, as well as improving their living comfort. In fact, nearly 5 million homes in France are still considered to be "energy flats", and 3.8 million households have difficulty paying their heating bills.
The aim of the CONCERTO RENOV project is to make it easier for people to carry out renovation work by offering tools to help households and players in the energy renovation sector.
The creation of the CONCERTO RENOV platform is based on 2 levers: the CONCERTO tool, developed by SONERGIA, to establish a diagnosis of the dwelling and customised work scenarios, and the creation of a coordination ecosystem bringing together all the stakeholders (operators, trades and individuals). Two demonstration sites in the Jura and Landes départements will be used to validate this federative model, with the aim of stimulating demand, reducing the complexity of the process and simplifying the work involved. The ultimate aim is to replicate this model in France and other European countries.
The 3-year, €1.5m CONCERTO RENOV project is being led by a consortium of 5 French partners with expertise in home energy renovation and household support, energy saving certificates and advanced energy solutions: SONERGIA (coordinator), the SOLIHA federation, Solidaires pour l'habitat, the SOLIHA Landes and Jura associations and the Capenergies competitiveness cluster.
Mark your calendars: The CONCERTO RENOV consortium is organising a meeting in Paris on 7 March 2023 to discuss the introduction of integrated housing renovation services in France, in the presence of experts from the European Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and the Environment.
CONCERTO RENOV is co-financed by the LIFE programme: a European Commission financial instrument dedicated to supporting innovative projects, both private and public, in the fields of the environment and climate.
