More than 300 meetings took place between companies and students at the first "Rencontres de l'Alternance", organised by the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolitan area.
For the first time, organised by the TPM metropolitan area in partnership with TVT Innovation, the metropolitan area's economic development agency, the Capenergies competitiveness cluster and Talentis Horizon, the "Rencontres de l'Alternance" work-study scheme was held on 30 March 2023 at the Maison de la Créativité's R+3 building in Toulon's Chalucet district. The interviews, organised in the form of job dating, enabled the hundred or so students present, from Bac+2 to Bac+5, to meet 27 companies looking for work-study students.
A day of job dating
Aimed at students in higher education in metropolitan France, this event, organised as a job dating was an opportunity for the Var's economic ecosystem - major groups, SMEs and local authorities - to meet work-linked training applicants from Bac +2 to Bac +5 levels.
In this way, it has responded to the needs of both companies and students, as work-linked training in higher education is a powerful lever for employability when students enter the job market.
