The "Move2Digital" partnership project was selected by Europe in June 2022 for co-financing of almost €2m. The aim is to accelerate the digital transformation of regional businesses.
Launched in 2019 by a consortium* technology clusters and research bodies, the MOVE2DIGITAL initiative should enable accelerate the digital transition of strategic sectors in the SUD Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Including the one on Energy Transition, with the participation of Capenergies.
This one-stop shop, targeted at VSEs/SMEs, will help them to seize opportunities linked to 3 major digital technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Connected Objects (IoT).
Now recognised as one of the 136 European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), the project is benefiting from new resources to expand its offering, including 13 targeted services based on 4 pillars:
- Test before you investtechnology awareness, diagnostics ;
- Innovation ecosystemIdentify leading-edge technologies and players;
- Support in finding investment;
- Skills and training to develop the skills of staff in advanced digital technologies.

Involved from the outset of the project, the cluster has been carrying out a range of initiatives for over 2 years to promote digital technology as a competitive factor for businesses:
- The IA Flash Diagnostic inter-pole action, which assesses the potential of artificial intelligence in the development of innovative products and services;
- Organising webinars and events to raise awareness of digital technologies, including co-organising the Cyber 4 Energy Forum in March 2022.
With Move 2 Digital, Capenergies will be helping companies in particular to find funding to invest in digital solutions tailored to the needs of their sector, including those that contribute to energy efficiency. for :
- Reduce energy consumption and save money,
- Sharing the production of renewable energy between several players,
- Controlling the synchronisation of consumption with local renewable energy production (as well as the recharging of electric vehicles),
- Better integrate storage solutions, develop flexibility and interconnection in multi-energy systems,
Move 2 Digital is due to start operating by 2023. One of the flagship projects will take place on the Georges Charpak campus in Gardanne, at the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne, with the creation of an "IoT Center" to enable companies to explore and experiment with intelligent connected objects.
*The "Move2Digital" consortium includes: the Capenergies, EA éco entreprises, Eurobiomed, Innov'Alliance, Mer Méditerranée, Novachim, Optitec, SAFE, SCS clusters and the University of Aix-Marseille, the University of Nice Côte d'Azur (in association with INRIA), the École des Mines de Saint-Etienne (Campus Georges Charpak Provence de Gardanne).
