The Solar Impulse Foundation and Capenergies share the ambition of making a concrete contribution to sustainable economic recovery in the regions. Through this partnership approach, they are committed to supporting the most promising technologies in the field of energy.
The "1000 clean and efficient solutions" challenge, launched by explorer Bertrand Piccard, aims to encourage political and economic decision-makers to implement technologies, processes and services. To select these solutions in various fields (water, energy, waste management, mobility, buildings, circular economy, etc.), the Foundation has set up the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution.
Through this collaboration, Capenergies, which contributes to the development of innovative energy solutions from the upstream phase through to commercialisation, is calling on the most advanced project leaders to apply for the "Solar Impulse Efficient Solution" label.
A SHARED COMMITMENT TO THE REGIONAL ENERGY TRANSITION

Working for the development of sustainable communities, the Solar Impulse Foundation is in constant contact with representatives of cities and regions around the world. As Myriam Schwartz, political advisor to Bertrand Piccard, points out, there are many emerging needs in terms of energy: " The challenges of mobility and renewable energy production are at the heart of local environmental policies. Hydrogen-based solutions are particularly sought-after, as are green generators that provide clean electricity for major events. "
As well as identifying mature solutions to meet these challenges, " The collaboration with Capenergies will enable us to benefit from expertise in regional energy resilience and feedback on the implementation of projects with local authorities. "
THE SOLAR IMPULSE LABEL: NEW OPPORTUNITIES
Today, the Foundation has more than 550 accredited solutions, including 7 from Capenergies members: DualSun, H2P, Hysilabs, Lumi'in, Mini Green Power, Pellenc ST and Vulog (see dedicated page online : solarimpulse.com/network/capenergies).
There are 3 major criteria for obtaining the "Solar Impulse Efficient Solutions" label:
- Technological feasibility (the solution must have reached TRL6)
- Positive environmental impact
- Economic profitability
The Foundation relies on a network of over 400 independent international experts to evaluate solutions: " The whole certification process was very useful to us. In particular, the experts' comments enabled us to prepare our fund-raising a few months later. "says Pierre Emmanuel Casanova, CEO of Hysilabs.
Once they have been awarded the label, these innovators benefit from :
- Direct contacts with investors, customers and strategic partners who are members of theWorld Alliance Solar Impulse ;
- A high profile in the press and social media;
- Privileged access to major events.
As Myriam Schwartz points out " The promotion of these solutions also involves the work of Bertrand Piccard, who is involved in numerous government working groups. For example, he addressed the G7 heads of state and is a member of several working groups, including the One Planet Lab and the TechForGood initiative launched by the French President. "
