FEASIBILITY STUDY OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE OPTIMISATION OF PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR SELF-CONSUMPTION FOR ELECTRIC AND SOLAR WATER HEATERS
Water heaters are the main source of electricity consumption in homes (average consumption of 800 kWh/person/year), with an associated potential for savings. They also represent a means of distributed energy storage that could be better used to manage the production/consumption balance as solar energy develops.
Against this backdrop, the DUALBOX project proposes to study the feasibility of optimising photovoltaic solar self-consumption for electric and solar water heaters (CE/CESI) using artificial intelligence to provide control adjusted to usage, with a targeted economic gain of up to 30%.
