ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OF LOW-LOSS MAGNETIC ALLOYS BY 3D LAMINATION
Using additive manufacturing technologies, the aim of the FALSTAFF project is to architect massive components made of ferromagnetic alloys (Fe-6.5Si and Fe-49Co-2%V) in the form of 3-D laminated structures. Thin and insulating, these structures should make it possible to limit losses within the material in the high-frequency range (iron losses < 25 W/kg at 400Hz at 1T), thanks to manufacturing geometries that are inaccessible using sheet metal.
