H2 VAUCLUSE

RENEWABLE HYDROGEN ECOSYSTEM FOR HEAVY MOBILITY AND INDUSTRY IN VAUCLUSE

The aim of the H2 Vaucluse project is to deploy a hydrogen ecosystem to kick-start the decarbonisation of uses such as waste collection, goods transport and logistics, as well as public transport and industry throughout the Vaucluse département. The hydrogen will be produced in part using electricity from a local ground-mounted photovoltaic farm, which will help to keep the cost of hydrogen under control. When it is commissioned in early 2025 (phase 1), the project will supply 15 heavy goods vehicles, 20 commercial vehicles and 1 industrial site, with a gradual increase in usage that will eventually save more than 6,000 t.eq.CO2/year.
