MECHANISTIC STUDIES OF CO2 REDUCTION: EXPLORING THE BIODIVERSITY OF CO DEHYDROGENASES
CO dehydrogenases are metalloenzymes that catalyse the reduction of CO2 to CO at high speeds and low overpotentials. This fundamental research project focuses on understanding the mechanism and diversity of CO dehydrogenases. A source of inspiration for the design of specific catalysts for CO2 reduction, they could also be used directly to convert CO2 into fuels.
