PASS-ION

OPTIMISING THE MANUFACTURE OF PASSIVE CONTACT SOLAR CELLS USING PLASMA IMMERSION ION IMPLANTATION

The PASS-ION project aims to remove the technological barriers associated with the use of plasma immersion ion implantation for the manufacture of high-efficiency solar cells (TOPCon) and the passivation of cells with cut edges.

By improving cell efficiency and simplifying manufacturing processes, the aim is to reduce the cost per kWh produced by photovoltaic installations and improve the energy efficiency of cell production.
