Decarbonising uses and improving their energy efficiency
Optimising and securing local energy systems
Producing low-carbon energy
ANTELIBAT
Advanced nanotube electrode for Lithium batteries

The range of uses for lithium batteries is currently limited by their limited range and recharge time.
The ANTELIBAT project aims to develop batteries with electrodes based on aligned carbon nanotube mats, capable of providing high capacity, as well as fast and safe recharging. This would be a breakthrough innovation, particularly for mobility applications.

HYBLOCK COATING
Hydrogen barrier coating for the protection of natural gas pipelines

It is envisaged that Hydrogen will play a more important role in gas transmission networks made up of steel pipes. Hydrogen molecules do, however, tend to migrate into steel, causing accelerated ageing of these structures.
The aim of the "HyBlock Coating" project is to develop an innovative solution for an internal product that acts as a barrier to hydrogen migration in steel, and at the same time to develop a robot for applying the said product inside a pressurised natural gas pipeline. The aim is to validate the complete solution by means of an industrial-scale demonstrator.

HYGI
Hydrogen green island

Supported by local and national players, as well as European partners, the HyGI programme is part of Guadeloupe's energy transition, offering solutions to diversify the island's energy mix, make its electricity system more resilient, and develop hydrogen mobility in an island context.
The programme is based around a "Mass Storage Energy" platform combining photovoltaic solar energy sources, hydrogen production and storage, a service station and hydrogen buses.

HYPLASMA
Plasma-based production of competitive low-carbon hydrogen from natural gas and electricity

HyPlasma aims to develop a demonstrator for the production of carbon-free hydrogen using a plasma process, based on the pyrolysis of methane without greenhouse gas emissions, with a competitive production cost, particularly compared with the electrolysis process. This breakthrough innovation will help to decarbonise the mobility and industrial sectors.

MEDEE
Multi element demand of energy efficiency

Reducing energy consumption in industry, which accounts for 30% of the world's final energy consumption, is a major way of combating global warming and boosting competitiveness.
The MEDEE project aims to develop new NIALM algorithms for fine analysis of the electricity consumption of industrial machines, enabling :
- Optimising consumption by type of use at the intrinsic level of the machines (production cycle, intrinsic breakdown of the machine by use),
- Identifying potential for optimising energy performance by using energy data correlated with production data,
- Setting up consumption prediction scenarios.

P2ID SOLAR MICROGRID
Solar micro-grid demonstrator for the Diamniadio industrial eco-park (Senegal)

The 1st industrial eco-park in Sub-Saharan Africa, developed by APROSI, an agency of the Senegalese government, is being built in the heart of the town of Diamniadio, newly created to accommodate the growth of Dakar.
Against this backdrop, Cap Vert Energie's P2ID MicroGrid Solaire project involves the deployment of an electrical microgrid demonstrator combining photovoltaic energy production and storage, located on the Diamniadio International Industrial Platform (P2ID).
The implementation of the solar micro-grid will enable the eco-park's manufacturers to reduce their energy bills and benefit from new services (electric mobility, load shedding, etc.). It will help to make the industrial eco-park more sustainable and attractive, while minimising its environmental impact.

PULSE MOTOR
Demonstration of the feasibility of an innovative engine for recovering very low temperature waste heat

Recovery of low-temperature waste heat in the form of electricity is not economically viable with existing systems.
The aim of the MOTEUR PULSE project is to demonstrate the feasibility of an innovative motor that will increase the overall efficiency of Organic Rankine Cycle thermodynamic cycles, and is capable of recovering very low-temperature waste heat (60 to 100°C), which is widely used on industrial sites.

SMART LAB
Intelligent solution for managing laboratory air quality

The Smart Lab project aims to provide a global solution for regulating air quality in laboratories, while at the same time helping to reduce the energy consumption of the installations concerned. In particular, it includes the development of a modular laboratory bench solution that is ergonomic, safe and eco-efficient.

UNCAGED
Innovative power modules for uni-directional and bi-directional recharging of electric vehicles

To support the growth of the electric vehicle (EV) market, in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal, the number of fast-charging infrastructures needs to be increased 15-fold by 2030. Smart" fast-charging stations represent a crucial challenge for :
- Adapting the rate at which vehicles are charged, for example to avoid peak full stops in grid electricity demand (V1G),
- Providing electricity storage capacity for the electricity grid (Vehicle-to-Grid V2G).
