FLEXIGRID
Interoperable solutions for implementing holistic FLEXIbility services in the distribution GRID
👉 Find out more about the project The aim of the FLEXIGRID project is to ensure the safe and stable operation of electricity distribution networks hosting a large proportion of variable renewable energies. To achieve this, it plans to develop and implement a range of innovative hardware and software solutions, which must be interoperable and compatible with the various platforms used by European network operators. Demonstrations will be organised at 4 sites:- In Spain, in a rural and peri-urban network with 39% of renewable energies;
- In Greece, in a hotel on the island of Thasos that can integrate 10% of renewable energy;
- In Croatia, in Zagreb, in a network with areas of congestion ;
- And in Italy, in an isolated valley in the South Tyrol region, with more than 50% of hydroelectric power.
- Typology Innovation action
- Budget 8.54m (funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 framework programme)
- Duration 2019-2023 (48 months)
