DEVELOPING HYDROGEN MOBILITY IN THE NICE CÔTE D'AZUR METROPOLITAN AREA
The Hy'ssa Nissa project, led by a consortium of industrialists and the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area, involves the creation of :
➢ a renewable hydrogen production unit using water electrolysis,
➢ a refuelling station at the Régie Ligne d'Azur bus depot in Drap, which will supply a fleet of 40 hydrogen-powered buses. This local project is part of the Côte d'Azur metropolitan area's 2019-2025 Climate Plan. It will help to decarbonise the public fleet of heavy vehicles, thereby reducing the associated greenhouse gas emissions, and to kick-start the development of a hydrogen ecosystem in the NCA metropolitan area around the consortium involved.
